A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I started a project to help the survivors of typhoons Ondoy, Pepeng and recently Santi in the Philippines. It's called START HERE. We're collecting artworks of hope, creation and rebuilding and are featuring submissions on our blog [link] If you want to submit, please go to the blog and look at the guidelines there.

We're hoping to raise money from this through an online donation system that we're setting up but because we haven't figured that part out yet, we decided to hold an event where people can just donate money or pledges and create art (because we also need more artwork).

Join us at the START HERE Sketch-a-thon on November 15, 2009 at 4th floor, Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street (Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Philippines) from 10am-7pm.

Several professional artists will also be there to accept commissions for a suggested minimum donation of P200 per personalized sketch and all of the money will go to the survivors.
